What’s on the dashboard?

Your Flu Vaccine Dashboard is a simple, yet powerful tool for your clinic team to monitor and improve uptake of VFC flu vaccines ordered and administered, displaying what you need to reach your target goals.

What’s a “target”? Your clinic’s customized VFC target for flu vaccine is based on the amount of other routine vaccines ordered from VFC in the past season. In 2025-26, VFC will use targets for both ordering and administering* VFC flu vaccines to better “routinize” flu to the level of other routine VFC vaccines.

*Currently, target vaccine administration is based on self-reported doses; not doses reported to CAIR.

New Dashboard Special Features!

1. Monitor progress towards your flu targets throughout the season. An easy-to-read dial graphic displays how close you are to your target: “Needs Improvement” (0%-50%), “Good” (51%-70%), “Very Good” (71%-89%), and “Excellent” (90%-100+”). 

2. Get your data in real-time. Updated automatically, you can check anytime to refresh your results.

3. View new administered doses target. In addition to your flu doses ordered, VFC will begin using targets for flu doses administered. To get the most from this new metric: A) Compare your ordered and administered doses to ensure administered doses reflect your ordering. B) Consider running a report in CAIR/immunization registry to compare how your self-reported administered flu doses (from myCAvax) align with flu doses reported to CAIR.

Improve your flu vaccine uptake. Serve your patients, your community, and boost your clinic’s QI metrics. California VFC clinics reaching “Excellent” at the end of the season will be recognized by the California Department of Public Health including a certificate of achievement and your clinic’s name on the Flu Awardees’ page!

When does the dashboard launch?

The new Flu Vaccine Dashboard is available now on your myCAvax account. This dashboard replaces the Flu Progress Reports of seasons past.
